Douglas DC-8-32, serial number 45420. Delivered to Japan Airlines on 13 Sep 1960, registered JA8003. Extensive damaged 24 Apr 1961 during test flight Henda, cancelled 6 Jul 1961, sent back to Douglas for rebuilt. Re-registered with Japan Airlines in Feb 1963 as JA8008. Modified (*53). Converted from DC8-32 Jan 1963. Leased to Japan Asia Airways on 15 Sep 1975. El Lencero Airport, Emiliano Zapata returned Jun 1981. Operated by Aeronaves del Perú on 3 Jul 1981 as OB-R-1223. Operated by Faucett Perú in Jun 1986. Freighter conversion 8-90 (or repossessed Jun 1986 in JAPL98). Re-registered with Faucett Perú as OB-1223. Sep 1990 Lima, overhaul abandoned Dec 1990 due to severe corrosion, seen on dump Apr 1995; total time (flying hours) 56.772h. Current status: scrapped.
